CircBoard for Xbox and PS3 Console Typing (Concept) (video)

The CircBoard remains in the concept stages, but it is a killer solution for gaming console typing.  The CircBoard divides the alphabet up into bubbles that mimics the controllers button layout.  The left analog stick serves as a selector,  and the right stick or buttons acts as the input method for those letters.

Hold the left trigger and you can activate caps, and if you want to enter a backspace or a space, you use the left and right shoulder buttons respectively.  Intuitively the d-pad serves as a cursor keys and the right trigger can add a secondary key set.  We’ll see if a developer, and more importantly a manufacturer, picks this up.  But you’ll have to admit, it is quite the efficient use of a game controller and keyboard in one.
